My husband and I have been through a lot together. We will be celebrating our 27th anniversary later this year. I’ve known him for the majority of my life. I was only 17 when we began dating. We have been through highs and lows, mountains and valleys, good and bad, ups and downs, births and deaths, peace and war. We’ve been through it all! But this week, I experienced something I never have before.

I haven’t written much, if anything, about our new President since he’s been in office. All of 2 months now, but you wouldn’t know that by the harsh criticism and negativity that plague him. You would think that President Barack Obama has been in office for eight long ill-served years now, such as his predecessor. (more…)
About 22 years ago, I experienced something that a mother never forgets. That was a feeling of helplessness and the inability to help my child who was in pain. As a mother, no, I will never forget it but I rarely ever conjure it up in my mind again. Oh, but last night, not only did I remember, I was brought right back to that painful place.
