Years ago, God gave me a vision of my husband and I serving as Marriage Ministry leaders.  The vision seemed to appear out of nowhere and it was not prompted by anything.  God showed me a “scene” of Jerry and I leading and teaching classes to married couples.  I saw the physical place, which was unfamiliar to me at that time, and I felt the intensity, excitement, and thrill that I always experience when I’m teaching.  It was so real.  Was God calling us to become Marriage Ministry leaders, I wondered.

Then our own marriage hit a very rocky patch that shook us so strongly that we separated for 18 months, and honestly thought that we would end up divorcing. (more…)

Have you ever wondered exactly what your spouse wants from you?  Well, it’s simple.  We all have love needs and too often we don’t take the time to really listen to our mate.  I used the following information during our recent Marriage Ministry fellowship, and it truly blessed the participants.

I’ve often shared how awkward and out of place I felt during my high school years.  Interestingly enough, we are celebrating our 30th Class Reunion later this year.  I can’t believe that it’s been that long since I made it through those days.  When I think about those days, it feels as though it was only yesterday.  Yet, I realize that I have literally come a very long way since 1979.

I received some sad news the other day that brought me back to my senior year in 1979.  (more…)

Last night I went to bed with a lot on my heart.  I knew that I had to release what I was feeling so I desired to approach God with my concerns.  I had questions.  I felt confused.  I felt alone.  I needed to talk to my Father.  I desired to talk, but I fell asleep.
