Imagine this.  You’re in dire trouble.  Your life is in danger.  You are drowning.  You’re going under.  You’re overwhelmed.  You have one foot on a banana peel, and one in the grave.  Enemies are after you.  You are about to die!  Now, someone comes to you and say, “Don’t be scared!”, yet they are knocking you down, trembling, screaming, and trying to get out of the way.  They are more afraid than you are.  They are weak.  They are helpless to you.  You’ve seen their lack of bravery time after time.  Yet they say, “Don’t be afraid.”
